The district called Quadrilatero was recovered and converted into a lively night area, full of trendy clubs, drawing both tourists and residents. Also, the recovery of the former factory of Carpano brought to the creation of Eataly: an area entirely dedicated to food. Here it is possible to choose among different kinds of restaurants, and do food shopping in the largest quality food market of the world.
Very original is the café inside the Film Museum (which is hosted in the Mole Antonelliana), designed by François Confino as a film set, with spaces reminding of a backstage. The café is open to everybody, not only to the visitors of the museum.
Ethnic shops, design and arts & crafts shops, cafés and art galleries are placed in a row inside the Cortile del Maglio, the courtyard of the former Military Arsenal, which has been converted into a shopping and entertainment place.
