Reconstructed from an old car factory, this ultramodern hotel integrates Turin's past, present and future. Ideally connected to Lingotto Conference Centre, the hotel is a short walk from Politecnico University. Designed by celebrated architect Renzo Piano, Le Méridien Turin Art+Tech is part of the Lingotto building – an art gallery, convention centre, concert hall, shopping mall and multiplex cinema combined. Le Méridien offers a new vision of hospitality through design and functionality. The large central hall is bathed in natural light from the glass roof above. Wall-length windows and glass elevators offer a play of transparency and embrace the surrounding city. 5 floors of cherry wood panels create warmth within this expanse of glass and light. A running track on the roof, constructed from the former Fiat car test track, highlights the hotel's unique functionality, and offers spectacular city views as you jog. |
